stolen from Caitlin's blog (ie, the one most of you don't know)

Leave your name and

1. I'll respond with something random about you.
2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.
3. I'll pick a flavor of jello to wrestle with you in.
4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me.
5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
6. I'll tell you what animal you remind me of.
7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.
8. If I do this for you, you must post this on your journal. You MUST. It is written. (or whatever, I don't really give a shit)

1.random: you were one of maybe four people who I actually liked in your class. You seemed more comfortable in your own skin than most people do in high school, and I admire(d) that.
2.media: S Club 7, for much the same reason as yours.
3.jello: sparking green apple. not because I have any particular desire to jello-fight, but because I remember having a particularly ridiculous discussion about it (and other things) when you were around in 214 one day.
4. "I had a wife. Her name was Daniel's Birthday."
5. memory:I think your locker was extremely close to mine (I was at the front of grade nine, and you were at the end of grade eight), and so I remember a lot of "hey" between classes, and idle mockery at lunchtimes.
6.fauna: a turtle, I guess.
7.query: why is jensen so strange? I figure you've got a better idea than I do.

1. random: I almost ran against you for VPX.
2. media: Red Right Ankle.
3. jello: given we're both rather... fuzzy dudes, I think neither of us would be terribly inclined to actually jello-wrestle. If we had to, though? Jack Daniels.
4. singularity: I remember us making a lot of fun of Scott Price, and something particularly good came from that exchange, but I can't remember anything specific.
5. memory: Hearing you on the radios at ACF 13.
6. fauna: Loon. no reason.
7. query: was the second major worth it?

Brie

4. singularity: "I know who he is. He never wears underpants."
5. memory: I remember meeting at the Welcome Back where Theory of a Deadman played, and while they sucked, that was a good night.
6. fauna: The highly elusive Northwestern Emo-Hunting Punk Kelpie.
7. query: Give me three albums that would cause you to cut someone off because they liked them.

Aleks
1. random: I don't think I'll ever spell your last name right.
2. media: Kylie. or Oasis. or anything off of your delightful mix CDs.
3. jello: suburban 7-11 slurpees and angst.
4. singularity: "It's like, the heart of North Delta!"
5. memory: Our first MASS opening party planning meeting.
6. fauna: Only the liger comes close to your awesomeness.
7. query: If you could spend a summer following any band around (but Radiohead), who would it be?

Jordie
1. random: I secretly covet your Monty Python shirt.
2. media: The Cardigans "Long Gone Before Daylight" - because I said "the new Cardigans album is awesome" and everyone but you was like "bah." but you were all like "hells yeah!"
3. jello: a Tasteventure of some sort.
4. singularity: "shut up, you dumb asian!"
5. memory: Radiohead 2003 and your silly Hugin/Mugin cards.
6. fauna: A hippogriff.
7. query: Same as Brie. Give me three albums that would cause you to cut someone off because they liked them.

It wouldn't be appropriate for me to talk about eliminating people on here. Ask me some time in person.

Ha ha ha, that was so my fault! Ha!

Are you sure we met at the Radiohead concert? I wasn't with Jordie and Alasdair; I was up further in the crowd with my friend G├╝lay. I definitely do not remember meeting you that day.

A hedgehog?

I've come to accept it as fact that I will probably never know what I want to do with the rest of my life. Instead I break it down into smaller chunks of life; say, I can give you an idea of what I'll probably be doing five years from now, but not 15.

Rachel: "you know Vancouver" is in reference to the mini-ateaseweb meetup that happened after the show, at which we both knew Sean Owen, aka Vancouver.

Chris:
1. I think we were in a class together before we met.
2. The Beach. I'm waiting for you to get accused of heroin smuggling. ;)
3. Lucky Lager
4. "Are you sure you don't want him killed? That whole sex-with-Martha thing is definitely a killable offense."
5. I don't have a first or clear memory of you, because we're usually loaded when in each other's vicinity.
6. A porcupine. With an eyebrow ring.
7. How'd you get into parkour?

rachel said...

I most definitely did NOT go to the mini-atease meet-up after the show. I lost my friend in the crowd somewhere after EIIRP and ended up walking back to Gage with Rob (and maybe Lana?).

I met Sean earlier that day; Rob told Aleks that I was looking for "some guy from the Radiohead message board who had room in his car for the trip to Seattle the next day" and she obviously knew right away that it was Sean so she took me over and introduced me to him (Rob had just introduced me to Aleks 30 seconds prior to this). I talked to him and some other ateasers and then went a little further up in the crowd and didn't talk to them again.

"You know Vancouver?" happened at East7A. I think it was also the same night that we discussed Grow.

7. query: If Joyce wasn't named Joyce, what would her name be?

I got into Parkour by fluke. I was sent a link to a funny video of a monkey taking a leak, and it was on a site that was full of little video clips. There was a "next video" link and I clicked it a few times, watched a small handful of humorous vids, the last of which was the action-packed David Belle "monkey video," a short video where David Belle and Cyril Rafaelli do some crrrrazy shit with Eminem as the 'soundtrack.' Dan figured out who these guys were, and we found a bunch of ppl around Vancouver who were into it. Unfortunately, I fucked up my knee really badly (nearly torn interior ligament) in June 2004 and haven't been able to do PK (or any other sports - when I played badminton my kneecap slipped again) since. From now on, I'm behind the camera when I meet up with ppl doing PK (will be chilling with some parkour guys in Singapore in a month).

I am having difficulty recalling that Martha quote... though it somehow sounds very familiar... any clarification possible as to the circumstances under which the abovementioned quote was generated?
